Already headed to University of Texas to golf on a partial scholarship, Sara Scarlett has been endowed with another boost to her college account.
The recent Woodland High School graduate was awarded $2,000 by the Northern California PGA Foundation last week as one of two Jim Langley Scholarship golfers.
Scarlett plans to add the money to her general college funds. “I was really thankful for it,” she said Tuesday from the Bayonet BlackHorse Golf Course in Monterey, where she was practicing in preparation of the Northern California Golf Association Amateur Championship starting today.
