About 250 Houston-area children and their parents arrived at dawn Saturday morning for the Kiwanis Kids YMCA Youth Triathlon at The South Montgomery County YMCA in The Woodlands.
For the 17th year, the Kiwanis Club has hosted the event. It is the ninth year they have partnered with the YMCA.
