Students from The Woodlands area who appear in “Xanadu” include from College Park High School in The Woodlands are sophomore Bianca Canal and junior Lucas Champagne. All have won praise for prior performances.
But the performer who may be most familiar to Conroe audiences is Katja Yanko, a junior at College Park High School, whose roles with the Players Theatre Company have drawn applause.
In the most recent “Sound of Music” at the Owen, Katja portrayed Liesl, one of the Von Trapp children. Last season she depicted a major role as young sweetheart Louisa in “The Fantasticks.”
