Conroe ISD coaches showed nothing but optimism when speaking at the Woodlands Rotary Club on September 5 at the Woodlands Resort. Brent Verzwyvelt (Caney Creek), Robert Walker (Conroe), Dereck Rush (Oak Ridge), Mark Schmid (The Woodlands), and Richard Carson (The Woodlands College Park) spoke on behalf of their players and coaches. All five coaches displayed their excitement for the season, but more so, pride in their players.

 “Many like to point out the negatives in schools, but everyday positive things take place in schools; and you can see some of these positives at football games- from the band, drill team, cheerleaders, football players, and all involved,” stated Coach Carson.

The coaches speak yearly at Lions Clubs and Rotary Clubs at the beginning of the season, and this was their final speaking engagement. The District looks forward to game nights!
