Playing its inaugural varsity season, the John Cooper football team took a major step last week, recording its first victory with a 17-14 triumph over the Episcopal junior varsity team.

After beginning the year 0-2 with losses to varsity programs Cornerstone Christian and The Woodlands Christian, Dragons coach Brent Landrum said he likes the progress his team has made.
