The Woodlands’ defense prepared for its District 14-5A slate against strong non-district competition, and the Highlanders posted a 2-2 record.
The Woodlands, ranked ninth among Class 5A teams by HSgridiron.com, figured it’d be facing Conroe quarterback Stedman Bell on Friday, but Bell was injured in the Tigers’ final non-district game, a 39-23 loss to Clear Lake last week.
