The Woodlands football team built a 14-0 lead in the first 100 seconds of its game against Conroe on Friday night, and the Highlanders never looked back.
The Woodlands (3-2, 1-0) demolished the Tigers (3-2, 0-1) in a 56-2 rout at Woodforest Bank Stadium in the District 14-5A opener for both teams. It was the second-biggest margin of victory in the 36-year history of the series, eclipsed only by the Highlanders 57-0 victory over the Tigers in 2011. TWHS did put up 61 points on Conroe in 2010, but the Tigers put up 20 in that contest
