Cross Country: College Park travel to Kansas & cements its elite status at the Rim Rock Farm Classic

The College Park Cross Country team traveled to Lawrence, Kansas to compete in the Rim Rock Farm Classic meet on Sept. 28th. The teams competed well and placed strong at the event.

The Rim Rock Farm classic is the premier high school cross country meet held in the Midwest. The Rim Rock Farm High School Cross Country Classic is hosted by Lawrence High School and the University of Kansas on the Rim Rock Farm course. The meet has grown every year and features the best high school cross country programs from the region.

The varsity boys team finished in second place as a team with 121 points. Manhattan High School finished in first place overall with 113 points. College Park’s Connor Meaux finished in 12th place individually with a time of 16:20.1, while teammates Christopher Williams finished 21st and Tanner Maloney finished 27th.

The varsity girls, team finished the 4k race in 4th place as a team with 144 points. College Park’s Georgia Burner finished 11th with a time of 15:48.1 and Audrey Manchester finished 26th with a time of 16:10.7.

The Varsity and Junior Varsity teams will compete in the Woodlands on Oct. 5 at the Nike South XC meet held at Bear Brach.
