After escaping with a second-half comeback win against Bryan last week, No. 10 Oak Ridge pulled out another dramatic victory on Friday night.
The War Eagles defeated College Park 21-14 at Woodforest Bank Stadium, scoring all of their points in the final quarter to move to 6-0 for the first time in school history and 2-0 in District 14-5A this season. With the loss, the Cavaliers dropped to 3-2 overall and 0-1 in league play.
“Our kids came out the second half and fought,” Oak Ridge coach Dereck Rush said. “We talk to them all the time about fighting through adversity — are we going to run from it, or are we going to run through it? We ran through it tonight.”
