College Park boys basketball coach Clifton McNeely and his daughter, senior volleyball player Alyssa, took an extensive road trip this past summer, trekking hundreds of miles up and down the United States.
The purpose? To visit four schools — Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina and Alabama — that Alyssa is considering attending.
But the journey was more than just an attempt to find the school at which Alyssa will spend the next four years of her life. It was a bonding experience and a chance for Clifton to share his experiences with his daughter.
