Football: DE Jackson helps fuel College Park D

Jayvon Jackson is making up for lost time.

The College Park senior couldn’t play football as a freshman or sophomore due to a blood disorder. He has been wreaking havoc ever since.

“When he played last year in the first varsity game, we were pretty amazed at how well he played,” Cavaliers coach Richard Carson said.

The 5-foot-10, 205-pound defensive lineman forced a fumble and made eight tackles, including three for loss, in a 39-21 victory over Livingston. He had a sack and four tackles for loss the next week, and then four straight games with a tackle for loss. He capped his first varsity season with three sacks in District 14-5A play.
