The College Park girls and boys cross-country teams took home victories on Saturday at the College Park Invitational.
The Cavaliers edged The Woodlands in the boys varsity race, finishing with 42 points, compared to the Highlanders’ 47. College Park was led by second-place finisher Connor Meaux, who crossed the finish line at 15:20.90. Pedro Nasta of The John Cooper School was the individual champion finishing with a time of 15:20.50. The Woodlands’ Logan Emery rounded out the top three with a time of 15:21.90.

In addition to Meaux’s efforts, College Park also got strong finishes from the rest of its team: Christopher Williams (fifth place, 15:29.90), Tanner Maloney (10th place, 15:46.20), Cooper Burner (12th place, 15:48.70) and Walter Sagehorn (13th place, 15:51.90).
The Woodlands was led by Emery, Imran Bell (sixth place, 15:37.60), Thomas Rayton (eighth place, 15:41.20), Matthew Henderson (14th place, 15:52.30) and J.R. Campbell (16h place, 15:56.00).
Despite a great performance from Nasta, Cooper finish ninth as a team with 234 points. Oak Ridge took sixth place with a score of 194. Juan Alvarez (19th place, 16:00.20) was the War Eagles’ top finisher.
Like the boys, the College Park girls also took home a team title on Saturday. The Lady Cavs edged The Woodlands by three points, 40-43.
College Park was led by Stacie MacDonald, who took second place with a time of 18:18.47. Audrey Manchester (sixth place, 18:29.00), Georgia Burner (ninth place, 18:49.72), Pilar Glaser (10th place, 18:59.94) and Sarah Batton (13th place, 19:09.75) rounded out the Lady Cavs’ top finishers.

The Woodlands was led by Kara Zuspan, who finished in third place with a time of 18:22.06. Abbey Piontek (fifth place, 18:28.09), Ashley Jansen (seventh place, 18:29.90), Meghan Brown (11th place, 19:09.81) and Lindsay Creasman (17th place, 19:17.09) rounded out the Lady Highlanders’ top finishers.
The Cooper and Oak Ridge girls teams both participated in the varsity Division II race. The Lady War Eagles finished fourth, and the Dragons finished fifth. Tori Valka finished third for Oak Ridge with a time of 19:45.90. Cooper’s top finisher was Kylie Melodick, who crossed the line at 21:10.80.
