After a 1-2 start, The Woodlands is on the rise.
Standout athlete Chris Andritsos is back and playing well at quarterback, and the team is riding a four-game winning streak after plowing through A&M Consolidated and Lufkin the last two weeks.

The Highlanders fell behind Lufkin 13-10 at halftime after a first half delayed twice by lightning, but rallied in a much smoother second half to win an eventual 5½-hour game 31-13 Saturday.
“You could get something going and keep it going, and that’s what we did,” coach Mark Schmid said. “We were able to really establish a good, solid running game, and just really wore them out in the third and fourth quarter.”
The win sent The Woodlands to 3-0 in District 14-5A, which is where it wanted to be entering the season. But Schmid still hasn’t made peace with their 5-2 overall record. Click here for full story
