FOOTBALL: Marathon Win – Oak Ridge outlasts Conroe 41-18

Oak Ridge’s Braden Letney made it happen. Conroe’s Stedman Bell did his best. The War Eagles withstood a weather-delayed halftime of one hour and 45 minutes and pulled away from Conroe in the second half for a 41-18 victory on Friday night at Buddy Moorhead Memorial Stadium.

Oak Ridge remained unbeaten in seven games and improved to 3-0 in District 14-5A play while the Tigers dropped to 4-4 overall and 1-3 in 14-5A play. The game took four hours to complete because of thunderstorms that started to pass through Conroe at halftime.
