Texas Children’s Hospital has proposed a new children’s health center that could open in The Woodlands in 2017. If approved, construction is scheduled to begin Jan. 31.

The board of directors will vote on the building in November, but has already approved the purchase of more than 22 acres next to St. Luke’s Woodlands Hospital. Texas Children’s already owned 50 percent of the land since 2007 and purchased the remainder from St. Luke’s on Sept. 10. click here for full story
