Kobe Miller threw five touchdown passes and A&M Consolidated scored 27 unanswered points in the second half to knock Oak Ridge from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 41-23 victory Friday night at Buddy Moorhead Memorial Stadium.
The Tigers (6-2, 4-1) rolled up 465 yards of total offense to move into sole possession of second place in District 14-5A, one-half game behind The Woodlands (6-2, 4-0).
The HSgridiron.com No. 10 War Eagles (7-1, 3-1) rallied to within 14-10 after falling behind quickly, but Oak Ridge could not stop Miller and his explosive receivers. Senior Kerry Thomas caught 10 passes for 174 yards and a pair of third-quarter touchdowns and junior Derrick Dick made six receptions for 82 yards and three scores.
