Replacing the leadership and experience of nine seniors is a daunting task. And while College Park is facing that exact challenge this season, the Lady Cavaliers are fine with playing the part of underdog.
College Park, which finished last season with a 20-12 overall record and a 9-3 mark in District 14-5A, returns four seniors this season — Candace Goady, Ashley Harrison, Cami Shafer and Andrea Velez — who will be instrumental in the development of a young team.
“It’s a rebuilding year, obviously, when you lose nine seniors,” College Park coach Michelle Richardson said. “I have a lot of talent, and I have a lot of great kids. It’s a learning process.
