History flip-flopped on Friday night.
Kobe Miller threw two third-quarter touchdown passes and Brandon Jackson rushed for three scores to lead A&M Consolidated to a 41-16 win over Westlake in a Class 5A, Division II area playoff game. The win at Floyd Casey Stadium helped the Tigers avenge a 38-32 loss to Westlake on Sept. 13.
The win also came a year after Westlake beat A&M Consolidated in a Class 5A, Division II area playoff game. The Chaparrals had lost their regular season matchup against A&M Consolidated in 2012.
“We knew they were looking for revenge in this game. You knew they were going to come out and give it everything they got,” said Westlake junior wide receiver Sean Rollings, who added that he has “a lot of respect for them.”
Westlake (7-5) scored the night’s first points on Dallen Nelson’s 33-yard field goal. But after the Tigers countered with a field goal of their own, things began to fall apart for the Chaparrals. click here for complete story
