Junior Kelsey Vetalice set two school records for the John Cooper School swim team late last month at the Dragons’ first meet of the 2013-14 season, the Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association Gulf Championships at Conroe ISD Natatorium.
Vetalice took home first and second place in the 200 and 100 freestyle events, respectively. Her marks of 1 minute, 47.85 seconds and 51.10 seconds in those events set school records.
In addition to Vetalice’s effort, senior Ryan Sharkey placed second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4 minutes, 40.27 seconds and took eighth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.31 seconds. click here for complete story
