The separation wasn’t big between The Woodlands and two other powerhouses considered for the top volleyball team in the country. More like razor thin.

When the Highlanders took over the No. 1 spot in MaxPreps.com’s Xcellent 25 rankings in October, they did nothing to relinquish their place. Instead, they continued dominating one team after another all the way to a state title.
