Lufkin High School to drop into UIL’s new Class 5A

Texas’ University Interscholastic League reclassification and realignment figures for 2014-16, released Monday, indicate that Lufkin High School will drop into the new Class 5A.

Lufkin High School’s latest enrollment figure, released last month, was 2,088. The range for the UIL’s new Class 5A is 1,060-2,099, while the new 6A will consist of schools with 2,100 or more students. Click here for complete story
