College Park coach Michelle Richardson knew what was coming.

She graduated nine players last season, including Alexia Sanders, who’s playing at Houston, and Leah Breakfield, who’s at Crown College, and the three returning players had very little varsity experience.

That usually means one thing.

“When you do that, you know it’s going to be a rebuilding season,” said Richardson, who’s in her fourth season.

“In every sense of the word, it’s a rebuilding season.”

The Cavaliers were just 4-13 overall and 0-2 in District 14-5A going into last Friday’s game against Oak Ridge.

But all hope is not lost.
