The College Park girls soccer players missed the playoffs in coach Meredith Cook’s first season, but they improved in the second half – and that improvement carried over through the offseason.

“We had a great first season,” Cook said.
“We had some opportunities we didn’t capitalized on, but as a whole, for a start, with the amount of change that we had from the previous season to our first year, it was a good step in the right direction.”

Now Cook says they’re poised to take off. The Cavaliers scrimmage Klein Collins on Jan. 4 at home and open the season Jan. 9 at the Lady Highlander Invitational. click here for complete story
