TEAMS HAVE QUESTIONS
In some ways, there is consolation in knowing. But the question now is, what’s next?
The University Interscholastic League has released the cutoff numbers for the upcoming biennial district realignment, which will be made official in just over a month, letting every public and two private schools in the state know just what classification they will be. (In the past, teams found that out, along with who their district competition would be, the day the realignment was made official).
And there is a major change this year with a new 6A classification for all schools with 2,100 students and over — a sure sign that the big cities and surrounding suburbs in this state continue to grow and are growing rapidly.
