While most teenagers are still trying to keep on pace with their required reading in English class, sophomore Jonathan Heermann, age fifteen, soars ahead proudly publishing his first novel last summer. For Heermann, publishing his novel “Ghosts of the Desert”, was more about breaking ice and pursuing his passion rather than selling hundreds of E-books. While Heermann’s raw historical knowledge matched with eloquent diction might come off as a surprise to most readers, Heermann’s literary strengths have been in the making for many years.
“When I was much younger, starting in the second grade, I had a hard time with writing assignments because I was restricted to two pages and I ended up writing a page and a half just for my introduction,” said Heermann. Heermann viewed this as a limitation or glass ceiling furthering him from his greatest goal and potential: to write and publish his first novel. click here for complete story
