Click here for complete story: A couple of untimely defensive breakdowns and a pair of shots off the crossbar proved costly for The Woodlands as Klein defeated the hosts 2-1 at Weldon Willig Field on Thursday afternoon, the first day of competition in the Lady Highlander Invitational.

“I thought we played well,” The Woodlands coach Dina Graves said. “It’s just about growing right now and getting stronger.”

The Lady Highlanders’ lone goal came in the first half when Sabrina Marx launched a corner kick into the box from the right side of the field. Freshman Kylie Dodson was there to receive it and put away her first career goal.
