The Woodlands coach Dale Reed was anxious to see how his team would respond on Friday after a gut-wrenching loss to College Park earlier in the week. The Highlanders rebounded from their first District 14-5A loss with a resounding 69-50 victory over Oak Ridge on the War Eagles’ home court.

“From the loss against College Park, that stung so much that you definitely want to get that taste out of your mouth,” Reed said. “We were in a hurry to get to this game because you want to play somebody else. We’ve gotten through the first round 5-1, which is good, and now we’ve got to totally focus on Conroe.”
