Jarmarquis Durst and Clayton Grett were both instrumental in Oak Ridge’s turnaround season, and now they will get to continue their football careers at the collegiate level. Durst and Grett will be joining the program at Tarleton State University, joining Grett’s older brother, Chris, who is transferring from Sam Houston State. The Texans compete at the NCAA Division II level in the Lone Star Conference. Durst was a first team all-district selection at wide receiver for the War Eagles in 2013. Grett held things down on the other side of the ball and earned first team all-county honors as an outside linebacker. Both players were key in Oak Ridge’s revival, helping the War Eagles to a 7-4 record after they went 1-9 back in 2012.
