SOFTBALL: Lady War Eagles look to fill holes left by strong senior class

Oak Ridge is returning to the field this season with a slew of new faces, and though coach Amanda Brimberry said the transition hasn’t always been easy, she is confident that her team will find its stride and be competitive in District 14-5A.

“It’s been a little challenging,” Brimberry said. “They’re skilled, but they haven’t played together. We have an almost entirely new outfield, we have two new pitchers, so it’s getting the repetitions.”

The Lady War Eagles are coming off a strong year, which saw them accumulate a 24-7 overall record and a 9-3 mark in league play, good for a second-place tie with Bryan. click here for complete story
