College Park was on top of its game for the first 40 minutes of its District 14-5A match with Lufkin. The Cavaliers’ David Beckman used a header off Nicco Sussman’s crossing pass just before halftime to give his team a 2-0 lead on Friday night at Woodforest Bank Stadium. “It’s called the most dangerous lead in soccer for a reason,” College Park coach John Owens said. That’s because Lufkin needed just three minutes and change to get on the scoreboard in the second half, and the Panthers rolled with that momentum for a 3-2 victory over the Cavaliers. click here for complete story
