The Woodlands boys, Oak Ridge girls claim track and field titles

The Woodlands boys held off College Park and Oak Ridge’s girls ran away with team championships Saturday in the Oak Ridge High School Track Invitational. The Woodlands boys finished with 150 points, seven more than runner-up College Park, while Oak Ridge finished third with 126. Oak Ridge’s girls squad accumulated 187 points, followed by Cy Creek (117) and College Park (97).

Oak Ridge’s N’Dia Warren-Jaques finished second in both the girls’ shot put and discus, turning in throws of 44 feet, 1 inch and 128 feet, 11 inches respectively. Cy Creek’s Meia Gordon won both events, with a 46-3 effort in the shot put and a 132-10.5 mark in the discus. click here for complete story and results
