For the second time in three seasons, Dekaney sent The Woodlands home without
a postseason victory. And for the second time in three games, the Highlanders lost on the home court of their crosstown rivals. The Wildcats defeated The Woodlands 66-56 in a Class 5A bi-district playoff game at College Park High School on Monday night, ending the Highlanders’ season at 23-10. Dekaney, which came out of District 13-5A as the league’s No. 3 seed, will play either Round Rock McNeil or Austin Lake Travis in the area round. The Woodlands ended its 2013-14 campaign on a three-game losing streak, with consecutive defeats at the hands of District 14-5A champion College Park, Oak Ridge and, finally, Dekaney. click here for complete story and photo gallery
