Basketball: College Park outlasts Kingwood in bi-district playoffs

Matt Mulloy scored 11 points for Kingwood in a 43-37 loss to College Park in the Region II-5A bi-district playoffs at Porter High School on Tuesday. College Park used a stifling defense in the fourth quarter to pull away from the Mustangs and advance in the postseason. The Cavaliers (31-5) move on to play Westwood in the area playoffs with the time and place to be determined. College Park was able to hold off a pesky Kingwood in the first round of the playoffs as the two teams exchanged blows until the final whistle. click here for complete story and additional photos.
