
If there’s one thing that’s harder than winning a state championship, it’s defending one. That’s the position The Woodlands is in this season after winning the Class 5A title in 2013. The Highlanders lost a multitude of talent, both on the mound and at the plate, as graduating seniors moved on to Division I college programs and, in one case, professional baseball. And while repeating last season’s success is a tall order, the Highlanders are focused on building their current team and competing once again at the top of District 14-5A.
