Basketball playoffs: College Park stops Westwood; Nederland eliminates Montgomery

College Park’s Keanu Andaya scored 25 points to lead the Cavaliers to a 59-53 victory over Round Rock Westwood in area-round play of the Class 5A basketball playoffs on Friday night at Bryan Rudder. College Park improved to 32-5 overall while winning its 25th consecutive game.

“The big part of the game was at the defensive end for us,” College Park coach Clifton McNeely said. “In the second quarter, we came up with a lot of stops and were able to convert into some buckets.”

Andaya scored just six points in Tuesday night’s 43-37 victory over Kingwood, but Westwood had no answers for the Cavaliers’ leading scorer in this game. click here for complete story
