The Woodlands boys soccer team defeated Conroe 2-1 on Wednesday at
Buddy Moorhead Memorial Stadium. The Tigers led 1-0 at halftime on a goal by Emmy Orioha, but the Highlanders equalized on a Buba Jobe penalty kick. The Woodlands’ Marcelo Tamez scored the winning goal in the 67th minute on a header off of a long throw-in by Sheldon Sanford. Conroe coach Jack Richburg said he was disappointed after the game — not in his team, but rather the officials. click here for complete story
