College Park junior Brett Reed was named the District 14-5A Defensive Player of the Year in a vote by the league’s coaches. Reed averaged a team-high 7.6 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game to go with 6.2 points. He helped the Cavaliers advance to the regional quarterfinals. College Park’s Clifton McNeely won the Coach of the Year award after guiding the Cavs, who missed the playoffs last year, to a 32-6 campaign, which included 25 wins in a row. click here for complete story
