State-ranked Dragons have largest senior class, state ranking
Lacrosse doesn’t have the youth infrastructure or programs in Central Texas like other UIL-sanctioned sports in Round Rock. It’s steadily improving and several local schools have put together youth programs, but for many of the current high school athletes at Round Rock their first formal competition came at the varsity level.
For many of the players, picking up a lacrosse stick and competing was the final nudge they needed to fully embrace the sport. But before a team or program could be built, many of the current players had to take the leap of faith during a cattle call like recruitment during lunch and free periods at Round Rock High School. click here for complete story
