Lilley Schreckenbach of The Woodlands repeated as the District 14-5A girls singles champion on Friday, defeating teammate Anusha Kartala in the finals. Schreckenbach dropped the first set but came back to win 6-7, 7-5, 6-1 in the finals at Bryan High School. Schreckenbach stopped College Park’s Kayla Kelley 6-0, 6-0 in the semifinals.

College Park’s Niko Moceanu was the winner in boys singles. Moceanu defeated The Woodlands’ Chris Lindsey in the semifinals 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 before facing A&M Consolidated’s Zavir Habib in the finals. Moceanu stopped Habib 6-2, 6-4 in the finals. click here for complete story
