Rice’s Cali Roper and Katie Jensen, both of whom are from Montgomery County, made their marks at the Stanford Invitational on Friday in Palo Alto, Calif.

Jensen ran a personal-best 16:41.8 to finish fourth in section 5. Roper is a Willis High School graduate, and Jensen graduated from College Park High School.
