Sophomore Landon Miner pitched a five-hitter and struck out eight, leading Bryan to a playoff-clinching 3-1 win over Lufkin in District 14-5A baseball action Tuesday at the Bryan Athletic Complex.

“I probably threw 80 to 85 percent fastballs,” Miner said. “I felt that was my best pitch tonight. The curveball was definitely there when I needed it. It helped me out.”
