After one day of competition at the District 13/14 Area Track and Field Meet, The Woodlands girls are at the top of the team standings.

The Lady Highlanders, who won the team district title last week, currently have a 14-point lead over second place Oak Ridge. The Woodlands accumulated 57 points on Tuesday, led by first-place finishes from Madi McLellan, Ellyana Long and Ellie Ramos. McLellan captured gold in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 10 minutes, 36.56 seconds, beating out Kingwood’s Abby Guidry by about 16 seconds. click here for complete story
