They scored early and late and when all was tallied, the Oak Ridge High School baseball team came out the winners Thursday in an 11-6 slugfest at A&M Consolidated.

The War Eagles (21-5, 6-4) struck for four runs in the first inning then added four more in the sixth and two more in the seventh inning for good measure. Oak Ridge held leads of 4-0, 5-1 and 9-1 before coasting. Oak Ridge bats came alive again on Thursday and have tallied 19 runs in the last two games, including an 8-3 win on Tuesday over Conroe.
