Montgomery County players dominated the All-District 14-5A girls soccer team, including winning four of five superlative awards.
Senior Carmen Webster helped The Woodlands to its second straight league championship and was voted the district’s Most Valuable Player. Oak Ridge senior Dariane Edens won the Defensive MVP honor and the Lady War Eagles’ Jim Collins was named Coach of the Year. Oak Ridge came within a whisper of the school’s first Class 5A district championship. The Lady War Eagles finished 10-2 in 14-5A play after losing to the Lady Highlanders 1-0 on the final night of the regular season. The Woodlands was 11-1.
