There’s something about two outs that gets Atascocita going.

The No. 4 state-ranked Lady Eagles used a pair of two-out rallies on Friday to fuel their offense and down College Park 11-1 in Game 2 of the Region II-5A bi-district playoffs at Atascocita High School.

“I think the girls just play looser with two outs,” Atascocita coach James Grotenhuis said. “The base runners have less to worry about and the batter knows that it’s now or never. It worked out for us tonight.”

Atascocita moves on to play Round Rock in the area round next week though details are still being ironed out. The Lady Eagles topped College Park 7-1 in Game 1. click here for complete story
