The Woodlands finished off Klein Collins on Saturday, claiming an 11-6 victory to sweep a best-of-three Class 5A bi-district series.

But Lady Highlanders coach Richard Jorgensen had a solemn look on his face as he trotted to the Klein Oak outfield fence, and his players’ expressions soon matched his after a 10-minute discussion.

The Woodlands improved to 30-2 on the season but has bigger ambitions on the horizon, and Jorgensen is looking for significant improvement from his team before it faces Austin Bowie in a best-of-three area series starting Friday at Bryan High School. click here for complete story
