Rally keyed by Max Conway’s 2-run HR in 6th inning

The Woodlands Highlander baseball team began its quest for a second consecutive state championship Thursday night with Game 1 of the Bi-District series at Klein.

The Woodlands Highlanders get three runs in the top of the first inning, keyed by an error by Klein catcher Nick Slaughter to take an early 3-0 lead. Klein responds in the bottom of the first when Rainer Ausmus just uncorks one over the left-field fence for a three-run home run and just like that we’re tied 3-3. click here for complete story
