Oak Ridge’s Jessica Rodriguez fired a four-hitter and unloaded a two-run home run, leading the Lady War Eagles to an 8-1 victory over Cedar Ridge in the Class 5A softball playoffs.

Cedar Ridge opted for the one-game playoff rather than a best-of-three series, so Oak Ridge (19-10) will wait on the winner between Kingwood and Pflugerville. Rodriguez hit a two-run home run to left-center field in the fifth inning, and she added a two-run single in the seventh. click here for complete story
