Arianna Zernial hit a pair of two-run triples to lead Kingwood past Oak Ridge 5-1 in Game 1 of the Region II-5A quarterfinals on Thursday at Summer Creek High School. Zernial’s two three-baggers and steady pitching was all the Lady Mustangs needed to take the first game of the three-game series.
