Atascocita’s Shelby McGlaun gave her team an eight-inning, 9-7 victory over The Woodlands with a walk-off home run in Game 1 of a Region II-5A quarterfinal series at Porter High School on Thursday night.

The Lady Eagles were down 7-5 in the final frame after surrendering two runs to the Lady Highlanders in the top of the eighth. But Megan Calfee scored on an error, and Kaitlyn Washington tied the game at 7-7 with a sacrifice fly, paving the way for McGlaun’s two-run shot. click here for complete story
